Due multiple questions about USPS's tracking problems.

USPS downgraded their tracking services for incoming items from several coutries due to their internal postal problems. Currently they do not want to show USPS customers movement of registered items from part of european countries and most of African countries.

Official message

List of countries which would be trackable

If your item comes from country not in list, we advise you to call USPS hotline
everyday for information about your item.
Also you can send requests about your item using their contact us form

The more request they will get, the faster they will reinstate tracking back.

Yes, they disclosed it from international customers,
but you can use US form due to you know recipients adress, and set your e-email.

Also, tell US customer to call them via phone every day with the same question.

They do have all information, but they just won't show it.

I have got an American friend to send me a pad of USPS Label 400 (which are free). Most of the packages we have sent to USA with these labels have tracked once they have arrived in USA, though less of them tracked in the busy period running up to Christmas.

Probably no use if you're handing your parcel in over the counter in the Post Office as the clerk would probably object, but our mail is on a contract and goes out in closed sacks.

It seems, according to USPS, that they are not willing to show tracking for packages coming from countries where Post Offices don't offer electronic exchange of tracking information. It seems like most of Central European countries are excluded.
