Canada post does not support tracking for Registered mail. they do only Parcels and EMS.
Poste italiane should work fine, however if you have issues, then just send you numbers to check what is happening there.

Cordialement, Jean

First of all, please specify package destination country!! Also, as Aserbaijan is a CIS country, it may take up to 60 (sixty) days for the package to not update its status, until then (28 September 16) there is nothing to worry about. Such long delivery terms are very common for China and CIS (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Belarussia etc.). The package should arrive faster however (within 30 days), however again, there is nothing to worry about up 60 days. The status itself may not update up to 60 days too. If you're a EU or North American buyer, please note that such short delivery terms (within a week usually) only appear in EU, US, CA and between them. Expecting a package from outside EU may take waaaaay longer. Please be patient and do not hesitate to post questions on this forum! PS. Should you make an urgent order always ask seller (sender) to use EMS (Express Mail Service) or private couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx)!! Please note that this website and users of its forum have nothing to do about package delivery terms and have no liability to any packages lost, arrived late or damaged during transportation.

Thx very much for your reply. Destination country is The Netherlands/
I made a mistake and ordered a urgent item, thinking is was the new Europe. My bad.

I just wanted to know where it is, the update from the CIS countries can be till 60 days, but where is the parcel all this time. Azerpost says it is exported, Postnl says they don't have it in their system/ Where is the parcel then?
#115 PeterR [ 4 0 ] : 2016-08-02 10:59:24
I think that packages, like people, sometimes go on holiday ("vacation" in American English) at this time of year.  No doubt postal staff go on vacation, and then there are less people to handle the mail.  Also the temperatures inside sorting facilities must rise, and some staff will therefore not be at their best.  I have just had some packages sent from the United Kingdom in a sack to US addresses via Chicago take 17 days to arrive, and not get tracked - they were sent on 15 July and customers are just now reporting that they are arriving (on 1 August).   The tracking labels I used (on about half the packages in this batch) were the free USPS ones which are meant for US domestic mail, so there is no particular reason why they should track, but the vast majority of them do get tracked once they are in USA, and the immediately subsequent Chicago batch sent 27 July look like they are going to arrive today after only 6 days in transit!

Good evening!!
First of all, PostNL is not one of the best in Europe. AzerPost export means thay have turned it in to airport logistics center for a specific flight or CAR/TRAIN. The bag may go by surface. If so - there is your explanation. If it is a very delayed airmail bag: there could be following reasons. Export means CHECK-IN of a bag for a flight, just as when you check-in your luggage at the airport. However, if any suspicious items are detected while the bag passes security and customs checks in the airport, the bag will be returned to AzerPost, but they will know nothing about it, because one specific person will come to the airport, take suspicious package and then register the bag again for another flight (this may take few days, until they accumulate big number of suspicious packages to send a truck). Again: Export does not mean leaving country in fact. If the flight they willed to use was full of passanger luggage or other priority cargo, your bag may have to wait a few more days for a flight with enough space onboard or a cargo flight (In China particularly outbound flights are almost always full). Also bag exchange may occur only once or twice in a week with dest country. Also not all countries have direct exchange with NL and may use transit country services (Russia and Turkey 90% cases), while all EU members exchange with each other every day. Also in CIS countries the bags may be on customs up to 5 days. Now, when it is finally in NL it is not a fact they will open a container immediately. Each container has a 29-semidigital receptacle number (see UPU standard S9), one of the characters of this code indicates mail class (U - letters, C - parcels, E - Express or time limited mail, T - Empty receptacle (used to return empty containers)). In case PostNL exchange facility has E receptacles, they will always treat them first, before C and U, in case there are too much of them in peak periods, U and C may be there for up to a month in some countries. Generally speaking there are lots of delay reasons. You may find detailed info at  https://www.upu.int/en/activities...sts.html and  https://www.upu.int/en/activities...rds.html
Regards, Jean.

Domestic labels shouldn't be tracked outside of the country (in your case US),but if you use USPS customs labels, then some coutries can provide complete tracking till delivery including Russia, UK, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Australia (actually this is strange, but i saw several customs label tracked via Auspost) + some other countries. So if you can send anything with label, then it would be better than send with local numbers.

Just to clarify, I was using USPS (USA) domestic labels for tracking selected packages sent *to* USA *from* UK, and they usually start tracking once they reach USA (never beforehand), though it seems it has to be initialised at the point of entry to USA because if they don't track there they never track further down the line (e.g. when delivered to the US customers).

Strange thing is that I do the same from Kazakhstan, and they do only put final delivery status sometimes for USPS TrackingTM labels formted 9114...00
